Contributing to The Xingu Mission
Thank you for your interest in the Xingu Mission!
The following questions and answers explain how you can make tax
deductible contributions and what to expect from the contribution process.
Please read all of the questions and answers to gain a complete
understanding of our contribution process.
How can I make a contribution
to the Xingu Mission?
We offer two basic contribution methods. You can contribute through the
mail by check or you can make electronic payments online.
How do I make contributions through
the mail?
To make
contributions via mail 1) complete the Xingu Mission contribution card, 2)
prepare a check payable to The Xingu Mission, and 3) mail the check and
contribution card to the following address:

Can I use my financial institution’s
online bill payment service?
At present we do not accept electronic funds payments directly to our bank
account.
However, some online bill payment services such as those offered by many
banks, do not use electronic transfer of funds, but use an automated
process to prepare a physical check and distribute that check to the
payee. You may use this type of service to make payments to the Xingu
Mission as follows:
1) Review the Xingu Mission contribution card. Use the “memo” or “account”
field of your financial institution’s online bill payment form to indicate
which Xingu Mission ministry you wish to support (the ministry should be
one of those on the Xingu Mission contribution card). Click here to print
out a contribution card.
2) Have the check made payable to The Xingu Mission

Alternatively, we do accept electronic payments made using PayPal®. This
service allows us to accept contributions via credit card or from your own
PayPal® account. To learn more about making PayPal® contributions see “How

How do I make electronic
contributions online?
We have established a PayPal® account to accept electronic payments.
PayPal® allows us to accept payments using credit cards or using funds you
have moved to your own PayPal® account.
To use PayPal® select the Donate Now link on our website and fill out the
required information. Each time you use the online payment process you
have the option of making a one time gift or recurring contributions.
Please note that PayPal® is a service that facilitates our receipt of
electronic payments. PayPal® is not part of or affiliated with the Xingu
Mission and PayPal® users must read and agree to PayPal’s® terms and
conditions. If you have specific questions about opening or using a PayPal®
account or about PayPal’s® terms and conditions, you should contact PayPal®
not the Xingu Mission.
How do I make recurring electronic
contributions online?
Our website has preprogrammed buttons which allow you to schedule
automated recurring gifts to the Xingu Mission using PayPal®. This method
allows you to make payments on a recurring basis (monthly for example)
without visiting our website each time.
The recurring payment program offered by PayPal® requires that you have
your own PayPal® account. Visit PayPal’s® website to learn more about
opening an account and account terms and conditions.
If you prefer not to open a PayPal® account you can make recurring
payments using the “one time gift” buttons on our website. If you use this
method, each time you wish to make a gift you will need to visit our
website and enter your personal information.
How do I make one time gifts online?
Our website has preprogrammed buttons which allow you to make a one time
gift to the Xingu Mission using PayPal®. Using this method, if you wish to
make another online payment in the future you will need to visit our
website and reenter your personal information.
The one time gift payment program offered by PayPal® does not require you
to have an existing PayPal® account. However, PayPal® processes your
payment and you should read and understand the PayPal® terms and
conditions before using this service.
If you prefer to schedule automatically recurring contributions you may
use the recurring contributions buttons on our website. This contribution
option does require that you have your own PayPal® account. (See “How do I
make recurring electronic contributions online?”)
After making a contribution will I
get a giving statement?
Yes. Each month you make a contribution whether by mail or online you will
receive a detail contribution statement to confirm the amount and posting
of your contribution. The contribution statement will be accompanied by a
contribution card and return envelope to aid you in your next
contribution.
At the end of each calendar year you will also receive a detail statement
of all contributions made during the calendar year. This statement will
serve to document the amount of your tax-deductible contributions to the
Xingu Mission for the calendar year.
How are contributions posted?
The Xingu Mission's policy is to honor restrictions placed on donations by
donors. However, if more funds are received for a particular project or
missionary's support than are needed, the Mission reserves the option of
transferring the excess to the general fund to use where needed most. Your
generosity is deeply appreciated.
