Rachelle Meginbir

Rachelle Meginbir has been living in Brasil since August 2005. She was sent by Saskatoon Full Gospel Church in Canada. While living in Altamira for a time Rachelle did Home Schooling (Drama, Gym etc.), CDR (English School), Cell Group, and Youth. Currently she lives in Porto de Moz assisting with youth (mainly teen girls), visiting river communities, helping missionaries with small children, and whatever else God puts before her.

Rachelle has known Christie Bouthillier (missionary in Porto de Moz) since she was approx. 12 years old. Christie was a youth leader at her church. There had always been a desire to visit Christie and Richie, but was waiting for God to speak. Before coming Rachelle was a Teacher Assistant for three years in Canada. In June 2004 God released her to go and visit until August. It was a life changing experience and a spark started within. The time of transition while still in Canada was a challenge, because of the desire to go, but the fear of leaving the known was strong. Then one day when talking on the phone to Richie about plans for the future, she said “yes” to come and knew it was God speaking, not her. So Rachelle released her fears, uncertainties, and this change in her life, to God. Now she is living on the path God has marked out for her at this time.
