We are coming home!

Thank you so much for your prayers, we are happy to report that we are coming home for home assignment. We are leaving Altamira on June 26th and arriving in Ohio on June 29th. THANK YOU LORD. We are all so excited to come home, especially Camilly because as you know, it will be the first time that she will meet the whole family.

Again, we will be home from June 29th to September 27th for our home assignment. During home assignment we want to get some re-training in the areas of ministry. Plus, continue to generate more interest in the Xingu Mission. One of our biggest goals is to help generate funds to complete the Mirante church which is essentially ˝ done but needs $67,000 to complete, and to get more personal financial supporters. Please pray for us during this time, and if you, or if you know someone that may be interested in supporting the work going on here in Brazil we would love the opportunity to sit down and talk.

Well I am proud to say that we were able to give another 10 more wheel chairs to children in Altamira making the total number of wheelchairs given to 34. Plus, while giving these wonderful gifts to the children, we were able to give them all a bible. It was a very special time for all the children, as well as ourselves.

This semester the computer students participated in CDR’s yearly outreach to the community called “Total Health”. Total Health is essentially an outreach to the community where CDR invites local Doctors, Dentist, Lawyers, hairdressers, and anyone else that would benefit the community to come to a central location and give their services for free. Our objective is to help the poor get services that are very difficult to obtain while spreading the love of Jesus Christ.

During this particular outreach, 70 people received free haircuts, 70 people were consulted by Doctors, 80 people received vaccinations, and 214 people received fluoride treatments. It was a huge success! We just wish we could have taught about the importance of brushing your teeth sooner so children like the beautiful little girl below could have avoided getting rotten teeth.
