Steve, Elba and Camilly Dolan

November 06 This month has been a very full month with lots of exciting things going on at the church, CDR, and personally.  One of the highlights at the church was the annual Children day event.  We had so many kids come to the event that it was difficult to count how many.  We played games, had a puppet show, had clowns, evangelized, and gave out food and toys.  All the kids had a great time.  Children have been one of our best evangelizers because they love being at the church, and in turn ask their parent to come, and then their parents find the love of Jesus Christ.  It is a pretty amazing thing to see happen.

The church is continuing to see growth and we are continually seeing more people come to know the love of Jesus Christ.  We are constantly trying to figure out ways to evangelize the community.  The church has been very active in helping out people within the community with social assistance such as food, prescriptions, and medical treatments.  This bridge of friendship has been very instrumental in spreading the Gospel.

CDR’s programs are doing well but we still want to be able to expand some of the programs that CDR offers.  Such as advanced English classes, internet, and our literacy program.  One success story that came out of CDR is a computer student that got a job at a bank.  The first four questions that they asked during during the interview were about computers.  He was able to breeze through these questions because of his training at CDR.  Now, it may not seem like a big deal that someone got a job, but when you are in living in an economy with high unemployment.  IT IS A BIG DEAL.  CDR is, and continues to be a huge blessing to many of the people living in Brazil.

Camilly is doing great.  She loves being outside and pretty much wants to live on the street with the other children.  She is an absolute handful, never wanting to waste a moment sitting and just relaxing.  She is constantly touching, moving, breaking, or doing something.  We are told by so many parents who have older children to savor these moments.  We are trying but let me tell you it is a test of patience.  Here are two pictures of Camilly in her make shift pool (it has been extremely hot here), and the other picture is with her cousin Apolana.

Please consider helping us financially to expand the Kingdom of God and be a part of the great commission.  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  We need your help.

Elba and I will be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary on November 8th.  Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as this transition back from the US to Brazil has been both tough for Elba and I.  So many different reasons are making it tough but one in particular is not being able to see family and friends.

Much love and blessings, Steve, Elba and Camilly
